The Invite One Initiative encourages you to reach out to a coworker, family member or friend by inviting them to church and/or simply praying for them. As Christians we might feel our efforts to reach out are insignificant in comparison to the vast amount of people who need to hear the life saving gospel of Jesus Christ in this lost world, but the fact is that reaching out to just one person makes an eternal significant impact.
Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
Luke 15:3-7
One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed
a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, What are you doing?
The youth replied, Throwing starfish back into the ocean.
The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die.
Son, the man said, don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish?
You cant make a difference!
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish,
and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said,
I made a difference for that one.
The Invite One Initiative was began to encourage and initiate, go-ahead readiness to embark on bold new ventures of winning souls to Jesus. It's to encourage the first step, initiative, opening move, opening the first of a series of actions in populating heaven, and emptying hell.
To set in motion a chain of events, or encourage a current chain of events in the cause of Christ Jesus.
