Back to School Resource Fair
Each year several community organizations come together to put on a Back to School Resource Fair for families who live in SeaTac, Washington.
Included in the Back to School Resource Fair are free hair cuts, backpacks, school supplies, immunizations, child id cards, early learning and community resources as well as food, door prizes and other fun things to do for children.
The 2012 fair will be held on Thursday, August 16th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Valley Ridge Park at 4644 South 188th Street in SeaTac next to Tyee High School.
The goal is to distribute 1500 filled backpacks to children grades K-12. The backpacks and messenger bags will include supplies such as:
- Calculators
- Paper
- Pens and pencils
- Scissors
- Composition books
- 3-hole punch college rule paper
- 5-tab dividers
- Post-it notes
- Pencil pouches
- 2-inch binders
