Hello,
I am the sole correspondent – slash – chief editor of the Angle Lake Shore Club community blog site. I have included this event onto a recent post to alert our residents of additional Easter Activities in the neighborhood.
Thank you for hosting this event and extending the invite to the greater community.
I recently told friends the story of my 5 year old passion to become old enough to ride the Angle Lake waterslide, a trestle looking affair resembling a rollercoaster frame. That was in 1957 and the slide looked old and dangerous even then: I’m guessing it was built in the 1920s. As you may know it was torn down in the mid-1960s before I got the chance and I’ve felt slighted ever since!
By chance, do you have any scanned images of that slide on-line where I could show them to friends? Believe it or not, as I recall life before the 1st grade, that imposing, exciting, forbbiden-to-small-children icon of the Angle lake neighborhood is one of the most emotional memories I have of that period.
Regards, Mark Hilsen (now in Kent, Washington)

Thank you for contacting us.
We don’t have a photo of the slide. We’ve forwarded your question to the Highline Historical Society http://www.highlinehistory.org to see if they might be able to help with this.
